Advocate Gerasimov calls on Kadyrov to intervene in conflict with natives of Chechnya

An investigation has been launched into a criminal case on causing minor bodily harm against natives of Chechnya who beat Pavel Gerasimov. According to an advocate, the conflict is being deliberately inflated, and the authorities Chechnya should influence the media that cover events in a one-sided way. In their comments, readers of the “Caucasian Knot” note that social media users who called to punish the advocate after reports about his alleged attack on a Chechen child were mistaken, responsibility threatens the relatives of the child, and one should not expect an apology from Pavel Gerasimov.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that in Moscow, law enforcers are engaged in investigating the circumstances of the conflict between advocate Pavel Gerasimov and natives of Chechnya. According to the police, a child was injured. Social media users suggested that an apology from the advocate would follow shortly after the incident.

Pavel Gerasimov has noted that two suspects were under investigation, although, according to the advocate, about ten people were involved in the beating.

In his interview to the “Kavkaz.Realii”*, Pavel Gerasimov has also emphasized that he was trying to reach out to the authorities of Chechnya and ask them to intervene in the situation.

Pavel Gerasimov has also denied the Chechen media reports that he is a “Ukrainian advocate.”
