CPRF treats as a fake letter to Putin with a request not to give post of Minister of Defence to Kadyrov

The Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) called a provocation the publication of a letter to the Russian President on behalf of CPRF leader Gennady Zyuganov asking Vladimir Putin to prevent the appointment of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov as the Russian Minister of Defence.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on September 11, Ramzan Kadyrov accused the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the mistakes made in the Kharkov Region and expressed his willingness to explain the real situation in Ukraine to the country’s leader. The Russian presidential press secretary responded by pointing out that Vladimir Putin has no plans to communicate with Ramzan Kadyrov yet. The leader of Chechnya is up for a higher position, but the Kremlin has turned him down, political analysts have pointed out.

The newspaper “Novye Izvestiya” reported that the leader of the CPRF called on the Russian President not to appoint Ramzan Kadyrov as Minister of Defence, because under his ruling, the position of the Russian people in Chechnya has noticeably worsened, they began to be oppressed on a national basis.

The letter also says that only a person with an impeccable reputation can head the Russian Ministry of Defence, “however, Ramzan Kadyrov does not have one.”

“A person who, at the dawn of his biography, was killing Russian soldiers during the first Chechen war, cannot head the Russian Ministry of Defence,” the text sent to Vladimir Putin on behalf of the leader of the Communist Party reads.

The CPRF called the letter forged and the signature of the head of the party falsified.

Earlier, on September 3, Ramzan Kadyrov announced his readiness to step down. Analysts suggested that would be followed by the appointment of the leader of Chechnya to a federal position. However, already on September 6, Ramzan Kadyrov announced that talk of an indefinite leave “will have to be left for the future.”
