Social network users dispute on aptness of holiday in Armavir during military operation
Some Instagram* users have treated the decision of the Armavir city administration to hold concerts of pop singers on the City Day as inappropriate during the military operation in Ukraine.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 13, Veniamin Kondratiev, the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, instructed to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the region without fireworks and guest stars, whose performance had been announced earlier.
A concert of Russian pop singers was held in Armavir on the City Day, the "Blocknot Krasnodar" reported on September 18.
Some Instagram* users have found it inappropriate to hold festive entertainments amid the military operation in Ukraine. "A feast during the plague!!! Some mourn for their sons, fathers and husbands, while others celebrate and have fun!!! What celebration can be, when our guys perish," the user lana7274 was indignant.
Authors of other comments have expressed a different viewpoint. "For some reason, during the Chechen war no one cancelled entertainments: it's a strange attitude," the user elza_coshka has noted, in particular.
*On March 21, 2022, the Tverskoi Court of Moscow banned the activities of the "Meta" Company (that owns the Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp) in Russia in connection with extremist activities.
