Law enforcers resume raids near the Astrakhan mosque

In the course of raiding a fair, held in the city of Astrakhan near the Red Mosque, law enforcers forces have detained 75 migrants, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has informed. The raid is indicative, and the fair is popular among residents because of goods' cheapness, Astrakhan townspeople have written in the "VKontakte" social network.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that law enforcers are periodically raiding the Astrakhan Bolshiye Isady marketplace, located next to the Red Mosque. On November 27, 2020, after making their namaz (prayer) in this mosque, several dozen Muslims were taken to police stations. Then, law enforcers refused to explain the reasons for conducting the raid.

Now, a large-scale raid was conducted in Astrakhan at an agricultural fair. Policemen and border guards, supported by special fighters, checked foreigners for law violations. As a result of the raid, 75 violators of the migration legislation were identified, according to the website of the MIA's branch for the Astrakhan Region.

In total, the detained illegal migrants were fined by 157,000 roubles; 73 people were taken to the police for identification, the press service has added.

"It looks like they've directly detained rapists and murderers. It would be better if they search embezzlers with the help of special fighters," the user Ekaterina Ivanova wrote in the "VKontakte" social network.

"They deprive people of the chance to earn money," the user Azamat Temnikov has added.

"It's high time for them to go home," another commentator has objected.

Let us remind you that such raids are regularly conducted in Makhachkala near the "Tangim" Mosque.
