Parents complain about systemic torture at Vladikavkaz kindergarten
Children have returned more than once from a private kindergarten in Vladikavkaz with bruises and abrasions; they wouldn't go there, but only after watching video records, the fact of beating children up there became known for certain, parents have stated.
After parents' complaints to the police, the kindergarten female educator who beat children up was fired. On December 3, the mother of a kindergarten pupil stated that kids were beaten up there, and kindergarten bosses tried to hide it.
The beatings in the kindergarten became known when the mother of one of the girls asked to show videos from surveillance cameras, Ilona Daurova, the mother of one of the girls, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "On December 2, the father took one of the girls of our kindergarten. When they came home, they saw that the child's hands were in blood ... The girl's mother returned to the kindergarten and asked for video records from surveillance cameras. Then she was attacked by the kindergarten educator and the directress, who tried to choke her. By this time, other parents came up, including me; and we called the police," Ilona Daurova said.
She has added that it turned out that more than one child was beaten up that day; the footage of beating a boy got into the network and caused a wide resonance in North Ossetia.
According to Ilona, her daughter told her about other cases of violence in the kindergarten; for example, a girl was beaten up because she could not unbutton her coat herself.
Parents can file a lawsuit against the educator and the kindergarten itself, Agube Galuev, an advocate, has suggested. Also, the victims have the right to demand compensation for moral harm and physical damage.
