Leyla Gireeva’s sister denies allegations of domestic violence
Khava Gireeva, a sister of Leyla Gireeva, an 18-year-old resident of Nazran, says that there has always been a normal situation the house of their parents. She also notes that the relatives have taken care of her sister as well and treated her. According to Khava Gireeva, the sister has run away from home and complained about domestic violence under the influence of some external forces.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that 18-year-old Leyla Gireeva filed to the police a complaint about regular violence from her parents. Accusations of theft brought by relatives often do not help return runaway young women to the family, but for Leyla Gireeva, such accusation can prevent her from travelling abroad, lawyers note.
“I am Leyla’s older sister, and I’m 23 years old. In addition to Leyla, we have four girls and one boy in our family. All my life, my parents have been taken care of us ... All the sisters and the brother are trying to protect our parents from the lies that Leyla is spreading,” Khava Gireeva said.
“The maximum that our parents could afford in our childhood was to spank a child for disobedience, like in any family. Nobody ever beat her,” Leyla Gireeva’s sister added.
According to her, Leyla had health problems and received all the necessary medical treatment.
“No one was going to kill her. Even now, our dad is constantly protecting her,” Khava Gireeva says.
She also refuted allegations that Leyla was forcibly taken to religious figures to drive out the genies, where she was allegedly subjected to violence.
Khava Gireeva adds that when Leyla left, some valuables and money disappeared from her parents’ house.
