Eduard Kokoity forbids population of South Ossetia to visit resorts of Adzharia

President of the self-proclaimed Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity has forbidden the officials and population of his non-recognized Republic to take rest on resorts of Adzharia, the IA "Medianews" reports.

In particular, under Eduard Kokoity's initiative a special commission was established in Tskhinvali to reveal families of those bureaucrats who have spent their vacations this year on resorts of the Adzharian Autonomous Republic.

The "Caucasian Knot" has informed that in May 2005 the authorities of South Ossetia released Alexander Kozaev, detained by the Ossetian party in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone in July 2004.

Alexander Kozaev, a native of Kurta village (South Ossetia) was kept in Tskhinvali prison after his detainment in Tskhinvali on July 4, 2004, by South-Ossetian authorities, when he accompanied a column of buses with Ossetian and Georgian children, living in the conflict zone, who were going for rest to Georgian sea resorts in Adzharia. The voyage was organized under the program of Georgian government of free-of-charge joint summer holidays for this category of children.

Alexander Kozaev, an active participant of the program, was accused by South-Ossetian authorities of "treachery" and placed in prison; they also brought charges against him of "illegal weapon storage," having declared that at a search a grenade was found on him, the IA "Regnum" reported.
