In Stavropol Territory, contract soldier arrested for evading being sent to Ukraine

In Stavropol Territory, the military court sentenced Marat Batdyev to a disciplinary arrest for 20 days, finding him guilty of evading being sent to the special military operation in Ukraine.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that in December 2022, special forces fighter Vitaly Mozgalin from the Krasnodar Territory refused to participate in the special military operation and was demoted from a corporal to a private. The commanders had the right to demote the fighter, since the mobilization, which limited the rights of the militaries, was not officially completed, lawyers note.

Contract soldier Marat Batdyev twice failed to come to the gathering of his colleagues to be sent to Ukraine, the “Kavkaz.Realii”* reports. Marat Batdyev explained to the court that he was waiting for the equipment that his relatives sent him, and therefore he was delayed.

Earlier, Marat Batdyev did not attend the same gathering of his colleagues before being sent to Ukraine in December 2022, then he was not brought to responsibility.

The request to impose a disciplinary arrest on Marat Batdyev in the guardhouse came from the acting commander of the military unit, who accused the contract soldier of a gross disciplinary offense, the military court reported on its official website.
