Attack on law enforcers committed in Gudermes

Two unidentified men have attacked the police post located near the cemetery in the city of Gudermes (one of Chechen district centres). Both attackers were shot dead in the shootout, sources report.

Around midnight on March 29, two unidentified men shelled the above police post in Gudermes and were killed by return fire, the SHOT Telegram channel informs.

According to preliminary data, they were the same men who attacked a DPS (road-and-patrol) police post on the Ingush-North-Ossetian border a day earlier, the "Directorate 4" Telegram channel has informed. According to one of the oppositional Chechen Telegram channels, "the attackers arrived in a car with Ingush license plates."

In his Telegram channel, Akhmed Dudaev, the Chechen Minister for National Policy, Foreign Relations, Press and Information, has posted a video filmed in Gudermes. He has stated that the situation in Gudermes is peaceful; however, if "any threat appears to stability and peace in the Chechen land," law enforcers are able to eliminate it.
