Ozdoev’s mother and sister ask him to surrender to authorities after attack on law enforcers

A sister and a mother of Adam Ozdoev, who was put on the wanted list in connection with an attack on law enforcers, called on him to surrender to the authorities. This is at least the third appeal of the mother since Adam Ozdoev was put on the wanted list and the second after the report of the leader of Ingushetia announcing that four suspected militants were killed in a counterterrorist operation.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on April 15, Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov, the leader of Ingushetia, reported that during the counterterrorist operation (CTO) carried out in the Malgobek District, four suspected militants were killed and two others were detained. No official information about the deaths of Amirkhan Gurazhev and Adam Ozdoev was reported. At the same time, on the other day after the Ingush leader’s report had been released, Telegram channels disseminated an appeal from Amirkhan Gurazhev’s mother calling for her son to surrender, although the woman had already recorded a similar video message earlier. On April 19, the mother of Adam Ozdoev again called on her son to surrender to the law enforcement bodies.

The video message from the mother and the sister of Adam Ozdoev was posted on the “ingterpol_news” Telegram channel. As stated, the relatives called on Adam Ozdoev not to make his loved ones, especially women, suffer because of him. The mother and the sister of Adam Ozdoev asked him not to hide, but to surrender to the authorities.

After the shelling attack on a road-and-patrol police service (known as DPS) checkpoint on the border between Ingushetia and North Ossetia on the night of March 28, six residents of Ingushetia were put on the wanted list. Later, two of them – Ramazan Eldiev and Movsar Kottoev – were found dead. A counterterrorist operation legal regime was announced, but the wanted men escaped from law enforcers twice after shootouts, on April 3 in Malgobek and on April 5 in Zyazikov-Yurt, while the law enforcers suffered losses both times. On April 7, Amir Bokov, one of the wanted men, surrendered to the police, and on the other day, it became known that Mikail Moshkhoev had been detained. Amirkhan Gurazhev and Adam Ozdoev remained on the wanted list.

The law enforcers’ losses during the armed clash in the village of Zyazikov-Yurt, including three killed and eight wounded, became the largest number of casualties within one day among law enforcers in Ingushetia after August 2012, follows from the chronicle of armed incidents in Ingushetia, run by the “Caucasian Knot” since 2006.
