Chechen Diaspora in Vienna opposed persecution of refugees

A rally against persecution of refugees from Chechnya was held in the capital of Austria. Activists of public associations expressed their disapproval of the use of violence against them in Austrian jails, and of deportation them to Russia.

The action took place on July 15, its slogan was "We won't forget anyone", the "Kavkaz.Realii"* project reports referring to Roza Dunaeva, one of the organizers. "Many Chechen refugees deported to Russia were subsequently killed, tortured, imprisoned and disappeared without a trace. We've also announced the names of the refugees, who fell victim to police violence," Ms Dunaeva has stated.

Apart from the representative office of Ichkeria** in Austria, the rally was organized by the local branches of the Antifa and Stop Deportation movements.
