Kuban resident fined for his post in social network
The Khosta District Court of the Krasnodar Territory (also known as Kuban by the name of the main river) has fined Evgeny Salnikov by 2000 roubles for his post placed in the "VKontakte" social network about a Ukrainian organization banned in Russia.
The court has found that Salnikov had posted in his page a photo of a man with a poster with the inscription "Right-Wing Sector"* and the image of the Ukraine's coat of arms and a sword.
In Russia, this organization is recognized as extremist and banned. At the trial, Salnikov admitted his guilt, the "Kavkaz.Realii"** project has informed.
The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that in June this year three prisoners from one of the Stavropol colonies were convicted of belonging to the "Right-Wing Sector"*.
*On April 2, 2023, the "Roskomnadzor" blocked all sites and pages associated with the "Right-Wing Sector" and its page in the "VKontakte" social network. On May 19, the Twitter limited access to the Russian-language page of the "Right-Wing Sector".
