In November 2023, one person perished in armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

In November 2023, during the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus, one person perished and another one was wounded. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from open sources.

On November 22, 2023, within a counterterrorist operation (CTO) conducted in Sunzha, law enforcers killed a man who had opened fire on them. The casualty was suspected of aiding Amirkhan Gurazhev and Adam Ozdoev, who had been wanted after attacking the road-and-patrol (DPS) post located on the Ingush-North-Ossetian border, a law enforcement source reported. According to a law enforcer, a SOBR (Special Rapid Response Unit) fighter was wounded in the shootout.

The presented statistics cannot reflect the number of victims with 100% accuracy. Not all the data makes it into news reports. It is not always possible to verify how true the statements of law enforcement bodies are; and new data about the events of the reporting period sometimes become known after the publication of statistics on the "Caucasian Knot".

Earlier, in October 2023, during the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus, there were no reports about any victims. The last time victims of armed conflict in Northern Caucasus were recorded in May 2023. Then, two persons were killed, and eight others were wounded.
