Bogdan Abdurakhmanov confesses to idea of setting fire to military registration and enlistment office
Bogdan Abdurakhmanov, accused in a case on arson of a military registration and enlistment office building in the city of Goryachy Klyuch, confirmed the testimony voiced by Boris Goncharenko, the second defendant in the case. Bogdan Abdurakhmanov said he was ready to carry out the plan alone.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on February 19, an employee of the military registration and enlistment office in Goryachy Klyuch, questioned in court in the case on arson of the building, failed to confirm significant damage to the military registration and enlistment office. That fact gives hope that the charges against Boris Goncharenko and Bogdan Abdurakhmanov will be reduced, an advocate notes. The human rights project “Support for Political Prisoners. Memorial” recognized both as political prisoners. Boris Goncharenko confessed that he prepared the incendiary mixture for second defendant Bogdan Abdurakhmanov. According to his mother’s story, Boris Goncharenko also complained about deterioration of his health state at a SIZO (pre-trial prison).
A fire at the military registration and enlistment office building in Goryachy Klyuch occurred on October 6, 2022. Employees managed to extinguish the fire before firefighters arrived. The case is being investigated as a terror act. Boris Goncharenko claimed that he prepared incendiary mixture, but did not participate in the arson of the military registration and enlistment office and was not aware how the other person planned to use the incendiary mixture.
“Bogdan Abdurakhmanov testified that committing the arson was solely his idea, dictated by his hooligan considerations, as well as his considerations of countering mobilization,” reported advocate Felix Wertegel.
