Police inspector arrested in case on Djabrailov’s death

In Makhachkala, a court has arrested an inspector of the patrol-and-post police service (known as PPS) for two months in a criminal case on the death of detained Akhmed Djabrailov. According to the investigators’ version, the law enforcer beat Akhmed Djabrailov and used a stun gun against him, and also crushed the detainee with his weight, which caused the detainee’s death.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on August 20, investigators reported about the detention of a police inspector suspected of using violence against Akhmed Djabrailov. A forensic examination confirmed that Akhmed Djabrailov died of asphyxia, the chair of the Public Monitoring Commission (PMC) of Dagestan reported.

Let us remind you that Akhmed Djabrailov, a fighter of the “Akhmat” special forces, who returned from the special military operation (SMO) zone a week before his detention by the police, died of asphyxia, his mother Khadizhat Gasanova stated in her appeal to President Putin.
