Dagestani PMC’s chair reports details about suspects detained in case on Djabrailov’s death
Two detained inspectors of the patrol-and-post police service (known as PPS) have been suspected of abuse of power in connection with the death of Akhmed Djabrailov at a police station, reports Shamil Khadulaev, the chair of the Public Monitoring Commission of Dagestan. He has also mentioned the suspects’ names.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that two more law enforcers have been detained within the criminal case on death of Akhmed Djabrailov, reports Shamil Khadulaev, the chair of the Public Monitoring Commission (PMC) of Dagestan.
The detained suspects are “PPS regiment inspectors Yu. Gadjimagomedov and M. Kazamatov,” Shamil Khadulaev reports in his Telegram channel.
The criminal case on the Akhmed Djabrailov’s death is being investigated under the articles on abuse of power and intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in death. On August 20, investigators reported about the detention of a new suspect in the criminal case – a PPS regiment commander. The court sent the police officer into custody. According to the investigators’ version, the law enforcer beat Akhmed Djabrailov, used a stun gun against him, and also crushed him with his weight, which led to the death of the detainee.
