Krasnodar court refuses to place pensioners-suspected IAF members under house arrest

The Uspensky District Court of the Krasnodar Territory has refused to transfer pensioners, Marina Zakharova, Nikolai Nabiev and Sergey Kuzovenko, accused of creating an illegal armed formation (IAF) under house arrest.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 15, the Uspensky District Court refused to transfer Zakharova, Nabiev and Kuzovenko under house arrest.

The pensioners are still receiving no medical care at the SIZO (pre-trial prison), where they are kept. Given the fact that one of them has no lung, the second moves only on crutches, and the third one – Zakharova – has kidney disease, their defence asked the court to transfer them to house arrest. But the court refused, citing the gravity of the imputed article.

Let us remind you that Zakharova, Nabiev and Kuzovenko are accused of creating an IAF and storing weapons. The pensioners refuse to plead guilty, claiming that they were trying to fight corruption in state bodies. In their opinion, the police fail to protect citizens; therefore, they decided to buy and store weapons for self-defence. Law enforcers were implanted into their "squad", who made audio recordings of their meetings, which became the reason for the criminal case. The embedded law enforcers persuaded one of the pensioners to sell a faulty pistol he had, and then falsified a criminal case, pensioners' relatives assert.
