In the capital of Chechnya, the Communist Street renamed in memory of Yandarov
Muslim Khuchiev, Mayor of the capital of Chechnya has signed an order to rename the Communist Street in Grozny into the Solsa-Haji Yandarov Street, in memory of the well-known religious figure of the Republic of the beginning of the 20th century.
The administration of Grozny has reported that the decision was made in response to numerous applications of the followers of the doctrine of Solsa-Haji Yandarov and as a sign of recognition of his contribution into strengthening of the traditional Islam in the territory of the Republic. the followers of Solsa-Haji Yandarov make a rather essential group of believers in Chechnya.
"Along with Sheikh Deni Arsanov, Solsa-Haji Yandarov was a spiritual teacher of the followers of the Nakshband Tariqah. He was not only a religious figure and philosopher, but also a person highly respected and authoritative not only in Chechnya but also abroad," sources in the administration of Grozny have noted.
In September 1925, together with several other religious figures, Solsa-Haji Yandarov was arrested by Bolsheviks and exiled.
