Trial on Anna Politkovskaya's murder case interrupted till early December

The Moscow Regional Military Court has announced a break in considering the murder of Anna Politkovskaya, observer of the "Novaya Gazeta", till December 1.

Anna Stavitskaya, advocate for the suffered party, has stated that the trial was postponed on the decision of the judge, who said that two defendants' advocates should participate in another process at the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. However, according to Ms Stavitskaya, the advocates said that under the arrangement they could miss the sitting at the Supreme Court, however, the judge nevertheless made a decision to postpone the hearing, the "Interfax" reports.

Today, one of the jurymen Evgeniy Kolesov has stated on air of the "Echo Moskvy" Radio that the jury did not demand to make the trial closed: "None of us has demand in the categorical form that the press shouldn't be admitted, I can state it for sure."

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 19 the defendants declared their full innocence. "The defendants say that they are ready to give all necessary evidences, they have nothing to conceal," said their advocate Murat Musaev. As he said, 98 percent of the bill of particulars is "conjectures and assumptions."
