Ilaev brothers murdered in Chechnya could be victims of denunciation

The Ilaev brothers, who lived in Pervomaiskoe village, Grozny District of Chechnya, and who were allegedly killed in a skirmish, and were militants as the law enforcement bodies assert, could become victims of a denunciation. This is the idea of one of the brothers' acquaintances.

"I think that Alvi and Adkhan became victims of a denunciation. I was told that on that day a group of local guys were just talking about the situation in the republic, about militants and so on, and one of the brothers (I don't know which of them) jokingly said that he had a pistol at home, therefore, he could also be regarded a militant (one of the killed Ilaev brothers worked as a security at the Pension Fund). On that very night, armed to the hilt militaries or militiamen rushed into their house and arrested both brothers. A day later we learnt that Alvi and Adkhan were killed and declared to be militants who had allegedly rendered armed resistance at detention," asserts certain Apti, a resident of Pervomaiskoe village. As he said, people "are just shocked by such impudent and unscrupulous lie" spread by law enforcers.

According to his version, there is an assumption that the Ilaev brothers' capture could be committed by employees of one of power agencies under command of former subordinate of Movladi Baisarov known by nickname "Iran"; Baisarov, ex-commander of the special FSB regiment "Gorets" (Mountaineer), was killed in Moscow in autumn of 2006.
