Ingushetia prosecutor claims two militants killed during special operation in Nazran

The law enforcement agencies report that, today, two militants have been killed in the course of a special operation conducted in the Barsukin district of Nazran, Ingushetia. According to Yuri Turyghin, Ingushetia prosecutor, the persons were connected with a number of terrorist acts and attacks on militia officers.

The law enforcement agencies received information that there were militants in a private house in the Stepnaya Street. The law enforcement officers who conducted the special operation report that the house occupants were requested to lay down arms and surrender, but they opened fire instead.

In the course of the special operation, the law enforcement officers killed Magomed Aushev, resident of Surkhakhi village, and Ramzan Uzhakhov who had a temporary registration in Barsuki, reports web-sight "Ingushetia.Org".

"According to our information, they were members of illegal armed units and connected with a number of terrorist acts on the territory of Ingushetia and armed attacks on law enforcement officers", stated  Yuri Turyghin, Ingushetia prosecutor, to the RIA "Novosti".

According to him, the criminals carried fake documents, including local and foreign passports, identity cards of military officers, one machine-gun, electric detonators, explosives, a TT pistol, four grenades and a lot of ammunition.
