Not having obtained land, villagers appealed to European Court
The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg will consider a complaint of 450 residents of the Baksan district's Dugulubey village.
Having united into an agricultural co-operative, they could not achieve real right to own land during a year, after numerous sittings of the courts of different instances, including the Court of Arbitration of the Northern Caucasian region.
The complaint reads that the Russian Federation gave citizens and their unions the right of having property, including land, but later on it deprived them of this opportunity through judicial bodies.
