Action-concert for Saakashvili's resignation held in Georgia

Several thousands rallied on March 13 in Tbilisi to a concert given by singer and musician Giorgiy Gachechiladze, brother of Levon Gachechiladze, leader of the United Opposition of Georgia. The protest event of the opposition in the form of action-concert came to an end without any incidents.

Giorgiy Gachechiladze appeared on the stage in a cage as a symbol, as he explained, that today all the Georgia is in prison. Leaders of opposition were present at the concert, and patrol police could be seen nearby.

The "Mir" TV Company reports that Giorgiy sang songs known to everybody in Georgia and from his cage encouraged the opposition to continue their struggle against the present Georgian rulers till the complete victory, that is, till President Saakashvili's resignation.

The "Georgia Online" reports that starting January 20, singer Gachechiladze sits in a cage in the studio of one of Georgian cable TV channels, visited by politicians and public figures. All this is shown live on air and is very popular among the viewers.
