Armenia to take part in NATO's military exercises in Georgia

Seiran Shakhsuvaryan, press secretary of Minister of Defence of Armenia, has announced today that Armenia will take part in the NATO's military exercises "Cooperative Longbow 2009" planned in the territory of Georgia from May 6 to June 1, 2009.

"After the exercise planning conference, we'll be able to state for sure the level of our participation. But we'll take part for sure," the "Interfax" quotes Mr Shakhsuvaryan as saying.

The composition of Armenian participants is already clear, however, it will also be made public after the above conference, as the "News-Armenia" Agency reports.

The exercises will be attended also by about fifteen hundred militaries from Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Croatia, Czechia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Serbia, Spain, Macedonia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Great Britain and USA.
