Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group to visit Azerbaijan and Armenia

Azerbaijan and Armenia have decided to continue negotiations on settling the Karabakh conflict within the OSCE Minsk Group, and later in June the co-chairs of the Group will visit the conflict region again.

Khazar Ibragim, press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, has informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that at the meetings of Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia in St-Petersburg, the heads of the foreign policy agencies of the two countries were instructed to continue negotiations with the aim to bring the positions closer.

"However, despite all that, presently, there are no proposals on how to settle the problem. There are just the offers put forward in Madrid; but after the Resolution passed by the UN General Assembly new opportunities have appeared," Mr Ibragim has added.

He has emphasized that any proposals on settling the Karabakh problem can be put forward only on behalf of all the members of the Minsk Group, and they should meet the UN position.
