Teenager killed by explosion in capital of South Ossetia

Today, in the outskirt of the city of Tskhinvali, the capital of the Republic of South Ossetia (RSO), an explosion took place. Atsamaz Gelaevich Dzagoev, 13, a shepherd and a Tskhinvali resident, who detected the explosive, was killed.

The today's bomb has exploded in the southern suburb of the city, in the adjacent Gudzhabaur village. The law enforcement bodies are now studying the place of the incident. Its details are cleared out by an operative group of the RSO's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the employees of the State Office of Public Prosecutor of the RSO, reports the State Committee of South Ossetia for Information and Press.

The RIA "Novosti" reports that in the vicinity of the explosion another weapon - an unexploded mine was revealed. On a place sappers have left.

According to preliminary data, the boy found a helmet, in which the explosive was hidden. The bomb blew up when he tried to put the helmet on, the ITAR-TASS reports with reference to the RSO's MIA. The incident happened at about 3:00 p.m. Moscow time.
