Chechen University toughens requirements to students' appearance

Starting spring this year, girls-students with painted fingernails, sleeves shorter than arm wrists and wearing jogging shoes are not let to the Chechen State University (ChSU) located in Grozny. One of employees of this educational establishment who asked not to name him told the "Caucasian Knot" about it.

Besides, students should wear a sort of special uniform. Girls should wear skirts, jackets and head scarves. Young men should be dressed in jackets, trousers and ties of a certain style.

Special guards check the uniform at the entrance to all the four blocks of the University. It takes a lot of time, and students are often late. However, if a student fails to enter his or her department within 5 minutes after the ring, as the source has reported, he or she will not be let to the studies.

According to the source, the guards behave aggressively more and more often: "For example, while checking girls' appearance, one of ladies-securities called a student who ignored her with an obscene word, which provoked a scuffle."
