In Novorossisk, opponents of children's "curfew" complain of being pressed by prosecutor's office
The court of Novorossisk (Krasnodar Territory) is considering the claim lodged by the Independent Non-Commercial Organization "Novorossisk Committee on Human Rights", which challenges the decisions of the prosecutor's office, which had accused the NCO of extremism. Vadim Karastelyov, an expert of this organization, complains of pressure, exerted by the prosecutor's office on him and his wife Tamara Karastelyova with the aim to force them to stop their actions demanding cancellation of the "curfew" for children.
"All the documents of the prosecutor's office are against us - an admonition, a warning and a presentation; they were passed on the basis of the fact that we held a rally against the 'curfew'," Vadim Karastelyov said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. He suspects that two teenagers had been deliberately sent up to him, whose parents then submitted their applications to the prosecutor's office. Under the version of the prosecutor's office, the teenagers perceived the 4-minute conversation as an appeal to antisocial actions.
"The words incriminated to us by the prosecutor's office were not quoted in the claim. The application of the 'victims' that I had initially read at the prosecutor's office ran that we appealed 'not to be afraid of militia' and 'bring their friends to mass actions'," said Vadim Karastelyov.
"In Novorossisk, "curfew case" consideration postponed till June 18," "One-person picket held in Krasnodar demanding cancellation of curfew," "Novorossisk hosts a picket for cancellation of curfew for teenagers."
