Ecologists who blocked Adler-Krasnaya Polyana highway will spend the night in Sochi KPZ

Ecologists Andrei Rudomakha and Suren Gazaryan, detained in the construction site of the Adler-Krasnaya Polyana highway in Sochi, will spend this night in the remand cell (known as "KPZ"). Their mobile phones were taken away.

Dmitri Kaptsov, deputy coordinator of the Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the ecologists are accused of rendering resistance to law enforcers. When asked whether they had really rendered resistance, he answered: "They refused to leave the territory, where illegal felling was underway."

Let us remind you that on August 19 ten activists-ecologists from Sochi, Maikop, Krasnodar and Nizhni Novgorod stopped tree felling on the route of the Adler-Krasnaya Polyana highway. However, on August 20, the felling resumed.
