Students' photo contest summed up in Vladikavkaz

The totals of the first ever city students' contest of photo works under the motto "Bright Prospects" have been summed up in the capital of North Ossetia.

About 300 photos were submitted to the contest; the jury selected 30 of them made by students. The photo "Bus Stop" was recognized to be the winner; the second place was granted to the work named "Fence", and the third one - to the photo "Human's Best Friend."

"The choice wasn't easy; the topic 'Daily Happenings' was complex enough; however, we were glad to see the non-standard approach exhibited by the contesters," said Madina Karyaeva, a jury member, after summing-up.

In the opinion of contesters, the number of works indicates that photography is popular among students; and the performance quality is gradually improving.
