Mussa Khidriev: there are proofs that persons accused of blowing up "Neva-Express" train in 2007 are innocent

Mussa Khidriev, brother of defendant Maksharip Khidriev, accused of organizing the explosion of the "Neva-Express" train in 2007, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he has weighty proofs of his brother's innocence.

"I know that my brother was detained for nothing. He's in custody for more than two years. I give a guarantee that he was at home, when the accident happened. When was the train blown up in 2007? On August 13 in the morning. And on that very day, we had a flight Magas-Moscow at 2:30 p.m. My brother even has the ticket to that flight," Mussa Khidriev asserts.

He has further stated that the director of the airport, head of local militia, and the militiaman who was on duty on that day had confirmed to him that Maksharip has а ticket to that flight.

"Why they still keep him, I don't know. The evidence of the airport director gives him a full alibi, and together with other evidences - a 100-percent alibi. If you come to our village, you'll see that half of the population confirm that on that day this person was at home at the moment of the train explosion," said Mussa Khidriev.

On November 25, it became known that Maksharip Khidriev admitted his guilt of preparing the terror act. In the opinion of the defence, this Khidriev's confession was obtained through physical and moral pressure on the defendant.
