In Georgia, refugees from South Ossetia protest against electricity cut-offs
The refugees from South Ossetia, who were temporarily accommodated in Skra village (8 km off the city of Gori), held a protest action by blocking a railway section not far from Gori. According to Georgian media, they demand restoration of electricity supply to their houses.
According to the protesters, electricity was cut off for non-payment a couple of days ago; however, they assert that the state had the state had promised to pay their electricity bills, as the "Interfax" reports.
The "Gazeta.Ru" adds that the refugees insist to meet Koba Subeliani, Minister on Refugees' Matters and Accommodation, and until then, they will keep the railway blocked.
