Kalandadze: Russia's charges of Georgia on cancellation of air flights are groundless
The official Tbilisi finds Russia's accusations addressed to Tbilisi for delay of the planned New Year Tbilisi-Moscow flights groundless. This was stated by deputy minister of foreign affairs of Georgia Nino Kalandadze.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Russia had accuses Georgia of unwillingness to timely organize direct Moscow-Tbilisi flights.
Ms Kalandadze said, as reported by the "GHN", that after the break of diplomatic relations, Georgia and Moscow communicate only via the embassy of Switzerland.
"Russia had no rights to address us directly on restart of the flights; however, despite it, the Georgian party expressed its readiness, under Swiss mediation, to restart the flights. The Russia's accusations are groundless," the "Rosbalt" quotes Ms Kalandadze as saying.
According to her version, only private companies should decide on appointment of charter flights, and the states had no negotiations on opening the air space.
