Novorossisk: flats of Dymovskiy's relatives are searched

Operative agents came to search apartments of Alexei Dymovskiy's common law wife and his stepbrother.

Alexei himself is now in custody, charged of service forgery and swindle. The defence of the sacked militia major has already appealed against his arrest at the Krasnodar Territorial Court. In the opinion of human rights activist Vadim Karastelyov, the arrest is the measure, not necessary to go on with the inquiry.

Mr Karastelyov said today that human rights activists are afraid of provocations in the course of searches in the flats of Dymovskiy's relatives: "marked money or something of this sort can be planted," as the "Interfax" reports.

On January 27, in Krasnodar, a picket in Alexei Dymovskiy's support was held by about 10 persons, who demanded resignation of Vladimir Chernositov, head of the Novorossisk UVD (Interior Department). According to Radio Liberty, the organizers of picket accused Chernositov of violating human rights.

If Chernositov fails to resign before February 23, Dymovskiy's supporters plan to go on "holding rallies, pickets and demonstrations near the elite private residence in Myskhako settlement," belonging, on their data, to the head of the Novorossisk UVD.

The blog users, in their turn, are actively discussing, in the LiveJournal pages, Mr Dymovskiy's arrest. "Democracy in Russian style: he told the truth - he's now in prison," blogger slava68 characterizes the situation. The user Politoblichitel indicates how serious the detention is: "Dymovskiy's arrest is a dangerous precedent! Unfortunately, it's not a single case. It's also bad that media are not always adequately reacting to such lawlessness. And quite often, they just ignore them. That it is even more terrible!" "The power has no choice, except for imprisoning Dymovskiy. Otherwise, the chain reaction could start. They let us know: keep silent or you can get into trouble!" the wiserod writes.
