Defendant in Nalchik attack case needs doctor in courtroom

Today, at the session of the Supreme Court of Kabardino-Balkaria on the criminal case about the attack on Nalchik on October 13, 2005, defendant Ahmed Khupsergenov felt bad. The court announced a break, and the defendant was examined by a SIZO (pre-trial prison) doctor, who rendered some medical aid. The certificate issued by the doctor runs that Khupsergenov suffers from chronic cholecystitis and chronic gastritis, but he can take part in the court session.

  • Court denies compensation to KBR convict for HIV infection

    The Oktiabrsky District Court of Novorossiysk has dismissed Yuri Mikhailov's lawsuit for compensation for the fact that after staying in jails in Novorossiysk and in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), he was infected with HIV and hepatitis.
