Six persons wounded by explosion in Nazran

Under update information, the triggered grenade launcher, found in a children's playground in the city of Nazran, Ingushetia, injured four OMON (special militia) fighters, an inspector and a local resident.

The "Caucasian Knot" has already reported that today a grenade launcher was found in the yard of a kindergarten in Nazran, aimed aside the frontier guards building of the local Department of the FSB.

After the weapon was detected, sappers and law enforcers appeared in the venue. As reported by the ITAR-TASS with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Republic of Ingushetia, all the people from the kindergarten and surrounding houses were evacuated.

When the sappers tried to neutralize the launcher, it suddenly made a shot. Under the latest data, reported by the "Interfax", the shot was spontaneous. The shell failed to hit the aim and caused no harm.

However, when the servicemen began examining the place, an explosive planted near the grenade launcher got triggered. The explosion wounded six persons - four OMON fighters, an inspector and a local resident; they all were hospitalized.

Under the preliminary version, the grenade launcher was a sort of "bait", aimed to attract and them blow up militiamen, the "Rosbalt" reports.
