Tskhinvali has usual schedule of water supply
The water supply to the capital of South Ossetia, which was interrupted on January 30 because of the break of the "Edis-Tskhinvali" water line, was repaired today in the morning. The usual supply schedule was restored.
The "Caucasian Knot" reported earlier that at about 5 p.m. on January 30 an accident happened in the water line section near Andis village, Tskhinvali District. The pipe was leaking before, but this time the opening became so big that prevented the normal supply of Tskhinvali. For about day and night the city was without water. Repair work started at once after the leak was detected.
Now, as reported by Alan Gabaraev, director general of the state unitary enterprise "Energoresourse-South Ossetia", the failure of the "Edis-Tskhinvali" water line has been liquidated.
"Since evening we filled in the city tanks, and in the morning we supplied water to the city under the usual schedule," the "Res" Agency quotes Mr Gabaraev.
