Khidriev involved in the case on derailing the "Neva Express" appeals against refusal to grant him conditional early relief

Maksharip Khidriev, one of the persons involved in the case on derailing the "Neva Express" in 2007, born in Ingushetia, has appealed against the ruling of Valdai district court which refused to grant him conditional early relief (CER).

The "Caucasian Knot" reported earlier that, on June 22, Valdai district court of Novgorod oblast refused to release Khidriev.

According to Murat Yunusov, lawyer of Maksharip Khidriev, the formal reasons for the refusal are the disciplinary punishments imposed on Khidriev in the Novgorod pre-trial prison and colony, reports the Russian agency of legal and judicial information (RAPSI).

The Khidriev's application on conditional early relief is based on the fact that, by the moment of passing his sentence, he has been in the custody for more than two years.

Yunusov has also confirmed his earlier statement that he intends to file a suit at the European Court of Human Rights.

"The application by Khidriev was received on Tuesday, the date of its consideration at the judicial bench of Novgorod oblast court will possibly become known during a week", cites "Gazeta.Ru" the words of the court representative.
