Informant: Ibragim Gadjidadaev, leader of Jama'at "Sheriyat", assassinated in Makhachkala

As reported by Abdullah Alisultanov, journalist of the Dagestan-based edition "Chernovik", with reference to his sources in law enforcement bodies, as a result of a special operation conducted by federal forces in Makhachkala, Ibragim Gadjidadaev, leader of the armed grouping named Jama'at "Sheriyat", was liquidated. So far, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan has not officially confirmed the information.

Abdullah Alisultanov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, who was present in the venue, that the bodies of liquidated persons were strongly charred. Therefore, in Abdullah's opinion, an official statement on the casualties will be made later, after respective procedures.

Alisultanov was told unofficially by law enforcers that Ibragim Gadjidadaev was among the casualties. In confirmation of their words, the journalist's sources in power agencies told about a Gadjidadaev's tapped telephone call, made by him at the very start of the special operation with the aim to capture him.

"The FSB intercepted his telephone call, in which he asked somebody to start some operation in some other place - just to distract attention from him. He asked to do everything they would, just to pull him out of there," Alisultanov quotes his source from power bodies.

The same source told journalist that power agents had brought Gadjidadaev's uncle to talk to him. "However, he would not talk to his uncle; they generally refused from any negotiations," Abdullah Alisultanov has noted with reference to the blocked members of the armed grouping.
