Kidnapped Chechnya resident found in pre-trial prison

Today, the relatives of Ertshkho Sultanovich Khachukaev, born in 1983, kidnapped resident of the Achkhoi-Martan village in Chechnya, have learnt about his location. According to the family members, he was kept for two weeks by a power authority in the Urus-Martan district centre and now has been transferred to the Grozny pre-trial prison, runs the press-release of the Chechen-Russian friendship society handed over to the "Caucasian Knot".

The law enforcement agencies give no reasons for the arrest of Khachukaev to his relatives. On January 27, 2006, at 5.30 a.m., armed people in camouflage stormed the Khachukaev's house and took Ertshkho to undisclosed location.

Meanwhile, the location of Azimov Bilal, born in 1972 and kidnapped by a group of unknown armed persons on February 9, 2006 at 7 p.m. from his own house in the village of Samashki, Achkhoi-Martan district, Chechnya, remains unknown. His relatives claim that he never took part in any war action on the side of separatists.
