In Krasnodar Territory, Prosecutor's Office checks the school where teacher died from TB

The Prosecutor's Office is conducting a check in connection with the incident in a school of the city of Belorechensk, Krasnodar Territory, where a woman-teacher of physical culture died from tuberculosis (TB). The check should clear out why the fatally sick teacher had taught at school for 6 months.

She could infect 486 school pupils; therefore, after her death, all school staff and schoolchildren from the 1st to 11th form take their emergency examination at the local TB dispensary.

According to the "Yuga.ru", the 31-year-old teacher suffered from the open and most dangerous form of tuberculosis.

In the course of the check, the Prosecutor's Office attracted professionals from the sphere of public health, requests documents from the school and from the department of education, Tatiana Smorodina, assistant of the Belorechensk inter-district prosecutor, told the "Interfax-South".

The examination of all the pupils and teachers of the school revealed no TB patients, said a source from the law enforcement bodies of the Krasnodar Territory. "No TB cases were diagnosed, but all the pupils - about 500 persons - will get preventive treatment; that is, they will take a specific set of pills," said the source.

The representative of the district administration said that the woman, prior to getting to hospital, was not registered at the TB dispensary; and no prerequisites for this outcome. "She lived in normal conditions; moreover, her husband, child and mother are healthy," said the press officer, as the RIA "Novosti" reports.
