During the trial "Kadyrov vs Orlov" Public prosecutor demanded to fine Head of HRC "Memorial" to a sum of 150 thousand rubles

In Khamovnichecky court of Moscow Public prosecutor appealed to the court to fine Head of "Memorial" Human Rights Center Oleg Orlov accused of slandering Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov to a sum of 150 thousand rubles. In the opinion of Public prosecutor, Orlov's guilt of committing the crime stipulated by clause "Slander" was completely proven.

State prosecutor started his speech with reading out the materials of the case. He declared that there was no information of Kadyrov's involvement in the murder of Natalia Estemirova, therefore the publication of HRC "Memorial" on the matter was untrue.

He called the articles of HRC "Memorial" on Estemirova's murder physical evidence of Orlov's guilt. According to state prosecutor, Orlov's guilt was proven by the information collected on the case.

A representative of Public prosecutor's office appealed to the court to acknowledge Orlov guilty taking into consideration public danger of the crime and select a penalty "relevant to the action" in form of a fine to 150 000 rubles.

State prosecutor supported the opinion that Estemirova was killed by the people who wished to destabilize the situation in Chechnya.
