Ingush leader: militants killed in special operation were betrayed by their colleagues

The success of this morning's special operation in various districts of Ingushetia became possible due to the information received by power agents from the members of the armed underground who had surrendered several days ago. This was reported by Yunus-Bek Evkurov, the leader of the republic.

The "Caucasian Knot" reported that on September 8 during the targeted special operations in the villages of Ekazhevo and Ordzhonikidzevskaya in Ingushetia three suspected participants of the illegal armed formations were killed and one - detained. No power agents and civilians were killed.

"Within a week, three members of the armed underground laid down arms and surrendered to the authorities. They are, in particular, provided information on some active militants; and today's successful operations were held in working out of that information," stated Yunus-Bek Evkurov.

The opinion of relatives of killed militants and detained suspect concerning the incident is still unavailable.
