Four policemen got injured during an explosion in Makhachkala

According to more precise data, four policemen were injured in an explosion in Makhachkala last night, a representative of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Dagestan reported. 

It should be reminded that the explosion took place at about 00:10 in Yaragsky street, near the fencing of the Institute of Physics and Geothermics of Dagestani Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences when the personnel of Road Patrol Service who were on duty in that district stopped a car for inspection. Earlier, it was reported that two policemen got injured.

The volume of the explosive device of an unidentified mode was 400 gram trotyl equivalent and was stuffed with metallic damage agents in form of pieces of reinforcement rods. 

As a result of the explosion four inspectors of a Detached battalion of Road Patrol Service, State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Department of Ministry of Interior Affairs of the Russian Federation in Makhachkala who were on duty as part of the team, were taken to hospital, the police car got multiple holes. 

The injured persons were taken to the republican orthopaedic traumatological center, RIA "Dagestan" reports.

One of the officers got a slight missile wounding, another had a bruise of his knee and all the four got contused, "Interfax" reports.
