Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy Khloponin criticizes Chechen leader

Young Chechen people want more freedom than Ramzan Kadyrov, the leader of Chechnya, allows them to have, Alexander Khloponin, Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President to the North-Caucasian Federal District, reported to the foreign journalists.

"Young people lack freedom; they want to develop more rapidly. We do have some problem with this fact, it's obvious," Mr Khloponin told the group of foreign journalists on September 7.

"I cannot entirely agree with many of his principles; however, anyway, we are conducting a serious dialogue," the Envoy stated, speaking on Ramzan Kadyrov, the "Reuters" reports.

At the same time, Alexander Khloponin rejected allegations put forward by human rights activists that Ramzan Kadyrov had organized the murder of his opponents in Russia and abroad. The Chechen leader himself strongly objected to such accusations.
