Georgia hosts "Golden Talent-2011"

In Batumi, the festival named Golden Talent-2011" is on. It is attended by 18 performers from many countries.

The winner of the first contest day of the festival, which began on September 8, was the Georgian singer Salome Katamadze, who provided the audience with a jazz composition, which brought her the top 10 points and a stormy applause of the public.

"I'm in a state of a shock from joy; I have no words to say. I hope to perform my second song just as good as the first one," Salome Katamadze told journalists after the concert.

The second and third places in the first round of the contest were given to performers from Armenia and Moldova, respectively.

The performer named Shontel liked Georgia and the festival. "I'm for the first time in Georgia; and I really like it here. I'm especially fascinated by the festival. Yesterday, I was at the concert. All the contestants are very worthy," said Ms Shontel.

Apart from Shontel and Katie Ryan, singers Eva Siemens and Ameri came to the festival in Batumi as honoured guests.
