The police in Baku did not allow picketers to approach the Embassy of Iran

An action of protest planned for September, 12, in front of the Embassy of Iran in Azerbaijan failed. The police pushed the picketers aside. 

A group of young people tried to hold an action of protest in front of the Embassy of Iran in Azerbaijan in connection with desiccation of lake Urmia. The guard around the building was strengthened on the day of the action, there were a lot of police personnel in the territory. 

A group of 20 or 25 young people gathered near the metro station "Ichery Sheher". However, law enforcement officers did not let them pass in the direction of the Embassy. Police personnel drove the picketers away towards Philharmonic garden, "ANC" agency reports.

The young people were chanting slogans "Azerbaijan must be integrated, Tabriz must be its center!", "Lake Urmia is dying out, Majlis is sentencing it to death!".

There were no detentions during the action, "AZE.az" reports.
