Editor of "Menk Merontsov" found assassinated in Armenia

The police have identified the woman whose body was found in the Kotaik Region of Armenia as the editor of the Yerevan newspaper "Menk Merontsov" (In Close Circle).

Since September 10, Alvard Abramyan, 51, was registered as missing, the press service of the Armenian police reports.

On September 1, at the distance of 50 meters from the road in the village of Vokhchaberde, a woman body was found; later, it was identified as Abramyan, the "Channel PIK" reports. The body had signs of violence in the area of the neck, the PanARMENIAN writes.

It is not known whether the murder of the woman has to do with her professional activities. Let us note here that problems with the freedom of speech are topical for Armenia.
