South-Ossetian presidential candidate Kochiev faces his final indictment
The General Prosecutor's Office of South Ossetia has presented the final accusation to the presidential candidate Alan Kochiev of causing bodily injuries to the MP Alik Pliev. The case goes to the court.
Alik Pliev was beaten in Tskhinvali on August 17. On August 19, Alan Kochiev was detained; and on September 23, the CEC of South Ossetia registered Alan Kochiev, who was kept in a pre-trial prison, as a candidate for the presidency of the republic. On the day of presentation of preliminary accusations, Alan Kochiev went on hunger strike.
"On September 28, we received the expert's conclusion on the case, and on September 30, the final charge was presented to Alan Kochiev and other accomplices in beating the MP," said Eldar Kokoev, Deputy General Public Prosecutor.
In the near future, the materials of the case will be forwarded to the court for the trial, the IA "Res" reports.
