Illegal pipeline to Ukraine dismantled in Rostov Region

In Donetsk, Rostov Region, policemen have dismantled about two kilometres of illegal underground pipeline, which was transporting POL (petroleum, oil, lubricants) to the territory of Ukraine.

According to the press service of the Chief Department of Russian MIA for the Region, the pipeline across the Bolshaya Kamenka River was laid from one of the private houses in Serafimovich Street and prepared for pumping of about 3000 litres of contraband diesel fuel.

The owner of the house, near which a metal tank was detected with the POL, was planning to make use of an electric pump and transport the fuel to Ukraine through the pipe laid at six-meter depth, the "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" reports.

The illegal underground pipeline was detected and liquidated in the course of the joint operation of the police and border guards. Now, the investigation is underway, the RBC reports.
